HOPE STORIES of ILOILO

My Bayani Challenge Experience in Iloilo

After years of advocating for GK, I finally had the chance to be involved in the frontlines by joining  the Bayani Challenge in Oton, Iloilo from May 21 to 24, 2015. "I guess one has to love this country with passion. One has to completely believe in the vision of a beautiful Philippines. We move as one for a beautiful nation that is a sanctuary for all Filipinos. When you challenge the impossible, you will see the best and the worst but we will get through it if the team supports one another because each and everyone has a talent to share. I'm not the greatest with words, just trying to capture what's in my heart."

Ma Rosa Cacho

Batad, Iloilo

"My task for the Paraisong Pambata in Batad as the first community, was to share short stories that has been very significant to me. It's not difficult to tell a story to be honest, but it still was a challenge, as I was ought not just to deliver the story, but to inspire them, and leave them the impact of the stories in their values and perspective just like how the stories did to me. I thank the team for giving me opportunities in ways I can. The experience was meaningful. Not to mention, the seafood served for lunch!"

Mikee Canaman
Batad, Iloilo

"Noong una, gusto ko lang samahan si Papa. Pero as time goes by, gusto ko rin maexperience ang ginagawa ng LGU para matulungan ang aming bayan. At gusto ko makisalumuha sa iba para makita ko kung ano pa kailangan at pwede kong maitulong as a youth."
