GK CAMBODIA
As the GK model evolved in the Philippines, many other developing nations began to replicate it in their own countries. One inspiring example is GK Rafaella Village in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, home to at 20 Khmer families who used to live in a dumpsite and survived by being garbage scavengers.
GK Rafaella is the result of the partnership with Bong and Rose Cabrera, and the commitment of both caretaker teams and GK residents a powerful symbol that we can all work together -- Buddhist or Catholic, young or old, Filipino or Khmer, Caucasian or Brown to help end poverty one family and one community at a time.

GK INDONESIA (Gerakan Kepudulian)
GK Indonesia (in Bahasa: "Yayasan Gerakan Kepedulian Keluarga Harapan Indonesia") was started by Filipino expatriates and has grown into a local movement where prominent Muslims and their friends are taking ownership of the work to assist their own countrymen. Indonesia is the first country outside the Philipines to adopt the GK model of development, starting with the education of children in Joglo, Jakarta. Today, GK Indonesia runs various programs in Cisadane (18 families), Dumpit (30 families), Rawacana (20 families), Ciliwung 1 & 2 (85 families) and Pekayon 1, 2 & 3 (150 families).
