#OperationWalangIwanan: Makilala, North Cotabato is now ACTIVATED!
To care is the default. Gawad Kalinga Mindanao already responded to the needs of the families displaced by the earthquake in North Cotabato. Our Kusina ng Kalinga located in Kisante Elementary School (1 km away from the epicenter) started distributing hot meals to children. But we have to start serving adults as well starting tomorrow. We target to cook and distribute/deliver to affected barangays 2,000 hot meals per day in the next 15 days. At P20 per meal, we will need your help to reach the affected families. Please course your help through

Yesterday we served 1000 meals, which catered to Brgy Kisante and some evacuees from Brgy. Batasan.
Today, we will serve 2000 meals (1000 lunch, 1000 early dinner). Targetting 4 barangays.
We transferred the main kitchen to Tacurong because supplies in Makilala especially water and ingredients for the meals are challenged.
A moment of silence for those who perished caused by this natural disaster. A special prayer for the son of one of our volunteers in Makilala who lost his very young life during the earthquake.
Let us support the first responders from the LGU, non-government organizations, and volunteers however way we can. Through prayers and resources.
Thank you GK USA for giving financial support in our efforts to bring relief to affected families

“Fear is not an option, only a condition that grips everybody but must be contained to save more lives, to lessen more diseases and deaths. Those who have are challenged to help those who have little or nothing. Evacuation centers are useless when people are afraid of sleeping indoors. Water and food are scarce, especially for those far from the centers towns. All assistance is welcome.”

“All Souls Day well spent with the living!
I went with the GK Kusina ng Kalinga Team to Kisante, Makilala, Cotabato Province, the base site of KNK to distribute hot meals for 2000 people. Today, 2000 may have been given a meal but many still need to be fed. In the coming days GK KNK will bring its hot meals to the farthest and inner Barangays that need it the most.”
