ABOUT GK NEWS OF HOPE GET INVOLVED

Improving Literacy, Enhancing Learning

Reading is the foundation of learning. If children have poor reading and comprehension skills, their ability to master other subjects will be adversely affected. According to the latest World Bank report, 90% of children 10 years old and below cannot read and understand age-appropriate text.

In response to this, GK is implementing a community-based learning program for children 7-13 years old who struggle the most with reading and comprehension. Public school students who have been identified with the highest learning gaps will receive intensive reading courses from trained teachers and volunteers.
