GK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

At the core of our work in ending poverty is the organizing and capacity building of each community. This involves establishing local leadership and conversing with the members to ensure that everyone is aligned in their vision of prosperity and in the ways to achieve that vision.

GK Community Development Program involves training, guiding, and mentoring community leaders to be the stewards of their own communities. GK strongly believes in education as a tool to empower communities so it has established Gawad Kalinga Builders Institute (GKBI), a team in charge of creating and implementing training programs that will deepen the involvement and commitment of the different stakeholders involved in poverty eradication.
