HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES

The Peninsula Hotels launches “HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES,” a four-pronged initiative in each Peninsula hotel across Asia and the USA from 22 November 2013 – 31 January 2014 to raise funds to support the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. “HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES” comprises a donation for each guest stay, plus the proceeds from a special Philippine-themed “Tea of Hope”, the classic Filipino Halo Halo iced dessert and “Trees of Hope” in each hotel.

CONCERTS


HEAL OUR LAND

World renowned artists have come together in solidarity with the victims of Typhoon Yolanda to hold a benefit concert titled “Heal Our Land,” at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 31, 2014.





Artists waived their fees for this concert, whose proceeds will go to the relief efforts of ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya and Gawad Kalinga projects.

“Heal Our Land” is produced by All That Jazz Promotions Inc, with the support of ABS-CBN and other partners.

VOICES FOR VISAYAS : A Benefit Concert

PHL's top music artists gather for benefit concert for Yolanda-hit communities.

Many of the country's top music artists are staging a concert on January 15 to raise funds for the rehabilitation of Yolanda-hit communities in the Visayas.
 
Organized by Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), in partnership with Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines, the concert hailed as “Voices for Visayas” will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Resorts World Hotel, Pasay City. All proceeds will go to the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF) for the funding of the shelter projects of Habitat for Humanity and Gawad Kalinga for the typhoon survivors.

GOODNESS RISING

Help goodness rise from the rubble of Yolanda! On Sunday, December 8, 7:30PM, join Human Nature and Hangad Music Ministry at the Church of the Gesu, Ateneo de Manila University in a concert to raise funds to build a Gawad Kalinga village for 100 impoverished families displaced by Typhoon Yolanda.

107.5 WIN Radio gathered some of the country's most sought-after artists and bands to perform for a cause at a benefit concert for Typhoon Yolanda survivors. Held on November 27 at Cowboy Grill Delta, Quezon City, the event featured Kenyo, J Brothers, Join The Club, Champ (former Hale vocalist), Blue Ketchup, Paraluman, Six Part Invention, Four Piece Band, Fifteen Months Away, Jeczerius Band, Lei Miserable, Tricia Garcia, and Tanya Markova. 107.5 WIN Radio DJs Justin Kiss, Ricko Mambo, Lara A, Karen Dyosa, and Johnny Mo were hosts for the night.

A Multimedia Arts exhibit that will showcase different multimedia artworks created by 18 graduating students of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde as well as to promote rising and upcoming OPM bands/artists.

(A Fun Run for Wellnes for Typhoon Yolanda victims)

In the wake of  the unimaginable destruction caused by typhoon Yolanda, St. Luke’s Medical Center calls on everyone to put on their running shoes and charitable hearts to Run and Rebuild lives. Let us all unite to help bring our fellow Filipinos devastated by disaster back to wellness by joining ‘Run for Wellness’, a fun run activity for the benefit of the Typhoon Yolanda victims to be held on December 7, Saturday, 6 a.m. at the Bonifacio Global City grounds. All proceeds of the fun run will go to the relief and rehabilatation of our brothers stricken by the recent calamity in the Visayas.

HOPE IN A BOX by GKonomics

In light of the recent calamities, the creative community has come together to express their deepest yearnings and prayers for the Philippines.  They have generously contributed their personal works to GKonomics, which is producing boxed sets containing all-occasion cards.

Each set will contain 10 randomly selected designs from various artists, in a kraft box made by a Gawad Kalinga community in Pangil, Laguna.

The storm may have passed, but the struggles of millions of people are far from over. The devastating typhoon Yolanda left many of these people displaced and unsheltered, but time and again, the Filipino spirit has always risen up from great adversity. 


As a nation, we have shown our enormous capacity for generosity and Bayanihan; We have proven that, strong winds may destroy our homes, but never our willful hearts and spirits.
