Gawad Kalinga’s Jose Luis Oquiñena and Anchor Land President Elizabeth Ventura seal the partnership between Gawad Kalinga and Anchor Land Holdings, Inc.

To further its nation building goals, high end property developer Anchor Land partnered with Gawad Kalinga in constructing homes for poor families in Brgy. Hugo in Trece Martires, Cavite.

It was in July 2012 when Anchor Land signed its first agreement with Gawad Kalinga. This first collaboration built thirty new homes in the baranggay. On 07 June 2013, one year after Anchor Land’s executives signed the contract, the freshly painted homes will be turned over to the thirty beneficiaries.

On 20 May 2013, Anchor Land once again signed a deal with Gawad Kalinga to formalize Anchor Land’s second pledge. This time, the agreement is for the building of one hundred new homes that will benefit one hundred poor families. These families come from different areas—some used to be informal settlers in Intramuros while a majority is still composed of the less fortunate families of Trece Martires.

“Anchor Land takes giving back to the community seriously,” says Anchor Land chairman Stephen Lee. “Driven by the company’s commitment to serve, our collaboration with Gawad Kalinga allows us to actually help build homes for the families who need it the most.”

Signaling the beginning of the new project, the ground breaking for the additional one hundred homes will take place alongside the turnover set on 07 June 2013. To be attended by Anchor Land employees and the beneficiaries, the event promises to be inspiring and replete with meaning for both Anchor Land employees and the families who will move in to their new homes.
