TV host Bettina Carlos salutes KnK mom volunteers

Television host, baker, and supermom Bettinna Carlos recently spent a day with the volunteers of Kusina ng Kalinga, Gawad Kalinga's anti-hunger campaign, together with Republic Cement to feed 750 kids of Taysan Elementary School. She expressed her admiration for the dedication of the entire team in ensuring that the kids are well fed everyday.

Bettinna shared that the volunteers start their day as early as 3:00 AM to prepare 4-6 cauldrons of food for 750 kids in the school everyday. She said that she was blown away by the dedication and ingenuity of the mom volunteers who make sure that they chop the veggies into itty bitty pieces to sneak them into the meal and leave the kids no opportunity to pick on them.
