Marhay na aga!! Bayani Challenge Naga City is now officially open, and it began with a Holy Mass celebration at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral.

One of the activities in the Bayani Challenge is an Art Workshop held at Barangay Tabuco, where kids got to express their creativity through art. Conducting the workshop were volunteers from Albay and Masbate.
|

|
|
The spirit of volunteerism lives on not just with volunteers from around the area but even from our international friends! Our foreign volunteers join us here at Pagdaicon, Mabolo, Naga City, in one of the activities simultaneously taking place in 27 barangays of the city.

The Kalinga nights were extra special as well, with the AFP 9ID band wowing our volunteers with their musicality and energy. The Tatays also shared their community's stories of transformation through performing arts. |

LEYTE (San Isidro)
A parade of 6,000 San Isidrohanons are gathered here at the San Isidro Civic Center for the opening program of the Bayani Challenge. The event was attended by the local government unit (LGU) headed by San Isidro Municipal Mayor Susan Yap Ang, DepEd, Red Cross, barangay officials, Philippine Azkals Team, Team Teleperformance and the people of San Isidro, Leyte.

Hope is alive and service is intense today and everyday here at San Isidro, Leyte. Dignified feeding for 5,147 kids daily with everyone's help, from the habal-habal drivers to our LGU's. If that is not intense and passionate, I don't know what else is.

Throughout the Bayani Challenge, volunteers from different backgrounds worked together to help build homes for the survivors of Haiyan and bring smiles to the children. Volunteers from other places worked side by side and shared stories with Kapitbahayan (GK residents). We even overheard a Tito sharing that they too are volunteers, building the homes of their neighbors.

"By the way, most of us here are first timers. We felt a little bit of tiredness playing with these kids today. BUT this is so much better, this is not our common thing where to spend our summer yet today we felt what HAPPINESS really is, what FUN is.
