A staunch partner of Green Kalinga is helping fulfill its mission of building environment-friendly GK communities.  Led by Chairman and CEO, Nandu Nandkishore, the company recently broke ground in Barangay, San Isidro, Lipa City for the Nestle-Malarayat Rural Bank GK Eco Village, which will become Gawad Kalinga’s first ever Eco Village in the country, a model for future GK villages, designed to thrive in harmony with nature and preserve the environment.

The unique design of the GK Eco Village consider the natural contour of the land in its site development and incorporates zero-waste ecological features, minimizing adverse impacts on the environment particularly from wastewater, sewage and garbage, while providing plots of land around the homes for growing food towards meeting the nutritional needs of the residents.   

Chairman Nandkishore expressed his own personal commitment to Gawad Kalinga to build homes that lead to sustainable communities while preserving the environment.
